Judy and I have long planned, that after retirement we would disperse our herd, rework our facilities (which are almost as old as we are) and then rebuild a smaller “elite” cow herd based on the many years of selection through our embryo program. To this end we have collected this reservoir of “classic” genetics which is, I believe, available nowhere else. Fortunately, most of the donor cows we selected were extremely fertile and produced large numbers of top quality embryos allowing us to share the fruits of our experience. So we have decided to "split the tank", sell approximately one-half of our embryos and keep the rest for our program.
If you are looking for cattle that are an “outside source” for superior genetics, that will get you back to what made Red Angus the total performance leaders of the industry, then we have embryos and semen available that can get you there. We offer embryos by such great sires as Rambo 502, BJR Hobo 800, BJR HiHo-916, Make My Day, ImpressiveRob, and more recent bulls such as Gold Robber, Red Spread, Major League and Romeo, and out of such great cow families as James 904 and BJR lines such as Lakina, Lakota, Blockanna and Emily and our own FLYF Donors that are own daughters of these great cows. We also have limited semen available on many these classic sires.
We have full faith in these mating selections, and rest assured, that we have kept more than enough embryos from each bloodline for ourselves. Otherwise, we could not bear to part with such rare genetics.
