The Blockanna cow family is one of the most famous cow lines ever developed by Cliff and Audrey Haugen at Bootjack Ranch in Montana. 1114 was the first calf out of her famous dam, BJR Blockanna 502-5185, who was one of the top selling cows in the National Red Angus Sale at Billings, selling for $11,500. The following year 1114’s maternal sister was again one of the high sellers at $13,500. (This was big money back then.) 1114 has a near perfect udder, even as an aged cow. She has proved to be very powerful maternally and extremely fertile, averaging over twenty embryos per flush in our program. Females of this line are highly prized.
